Furniture musical shuffle...Last weekend we went to purchase a rocker recliner for the baby's room. We heard it is great to have if one of us has to sleep in the room with him. We eventually ended up, by the end of the week, with a new kitchen table, a new coffee table, and a new futon mattress and a rocker recliner! All of this to get the baby's room ready...well maybe not the new kitchen table.
We have also finished all the baby registry work. I am sure we have forgotten some essential items but we did our best running around Toys R Us and Sears with the scanner! Both of these can be accessed online or in the store. You can check under both of our surnames.
The latest obstetrician appointment was Monday the 12th. I had to do the lovely glucose screening test. We are still awaiting results. Everything is on the right track. However, with the passing of teacher appreciation week aka fat teacher week, I may get a little "discussion" at the next appointment in 3 weeks. We were really spoiled by Tim Horton's pastires, cookies, assorted sweets, lunch provided by the student council president's parents, our governing board and the culminating reception put on by the adminstration on Friday. The food was great including the shrimp, yummy cheeses and the chocolate fondu fountain! In addition to all the yummy goodness we were also treated to hand delivered apples with thank you cards, a hand painted mug with our names on them, a new Philemon t shirt and hat, and as we left the party a red rose. Talk about being spoiled and feeling very appreciated.
